Chief Executive Officer
Trevor Hansen, founder and CEO of EPMG, is the driving force behind the innovative, niche media company that has since grown into the industry leader for reaching multicultural consumers.
Hansen grew up in the media industry, honing his skills from his family’s publishing business. In 1973, the family launched the nation’s first newspaper targeted towards adults 60+ in San Diego, CA. In this grassroots editorial and community-first environment, he quickly realized the power and importance of hyperlocal, hyper-relevant media.
Since the company’s inception in 2002, EPMG has expanded to meet the growing demands of the multicultural market segment. Under Hansen’s leadership, EPMG has established strong, longstanding relationships with over 1,500 publishers and expanded into building state-of-the-art digital properties with more than 40 digital newspaper partners. Hansen credits the company’s success to EPMG’s core values: humility, gratitude, commitment, passion, and teamwork.
Hansen is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and business gatherings. He serves as a board member of the Circulation Verification Council, an independent, third-party audit company that specializes in community newspapers, magazines, and niche publications.
